Seed Collecting in the Front Field and small SSSI field at Hucclecote Meadows 10:00-12:00

Parking: There is some on street parking opposite the reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: Meet by the main gate on Lobleys Drive or find us in the fields, you should be able to spot the rangers truck.
What: For several years we have been collecting seed by hand from the meadows and sowing it at Horsbere Brook FAS. This grassland restoration project has proved successful with a greater species diversity noted at Horsbere Brook Reserve than prior to the project with several species such as yellow rattle previously absent onsite. This year we will be collecting seed from the front non-SSSI field and smaller SSSI field.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction. They will introduce the session and do the health and safety bit prior to work commencing.
