The Israel military industries had an ammunition factory on one of the most beautiful stretches of Israel coastal plain, on the ridge overlooking the Mediterranean sea. In 1992 dozens of tons of explosive stored at the facility exploded. As a result 2 people were killed, 66 injured, and the factory was destroyed. The factory was shut down and abandoned soon after, letting nature reclaim it. But the are is still highly contaminated. The area contains historic structures, most of them related to Apllonia - Arsuf, and some findings are 2500 years of old. which delays opening it for the public in an eerie experience.
To find the cache you must find the Apollonia nature reserve, go east to where Golda Meir road meets Igal Yadin Road. Look for the gate with the signs of Israel Path.
