Recent Discoveries in Dayton!
Minnesota inhabitated by a civilized race more than a century ago!!

This was the headlines the article goes on to say George Slater was clearing an area for a garden and found the remains from a burned cabin.  He also found remains of a china bowl. He got the help from Mr. Richardson to search a larger area. They were able to find bits of iron and copper, nails parts of buck horns neatly sawed for handles. A tree was cut down from inside one of the cabin spots and the rings counted, there were nearly a hundred. They also found part of a gun and axe and many other items. The items were then sent off to the Smithsonian Institute.

A club was formed by local citizens who looked for these items what was there name??
