This is the first of a series of three (or four, read on) caches from the south side of Freshwater Bay to Freshwater Bay Pond. This completes my goal to have the whole Deadman's Bay Path filled with quality geocaches for those who love to combine their love for geocaching with hiking.
To make things a little interesting, there is a fouth puzzle cache, GC8AWWQ, to play off of our caches in the whole Deadman's Bay Path series of caches. The puzzle cache can be solved before hitting the trail, such that you may concentrate on hiking and finding while on the trail, and not having to solve a puzzle on the fly.
This cache is named for the terrain found at GZ. In all of my travels on the trails, I have not seen this type of trail support in my memory. As I was walking up to it I was thinking: "Wow, when it's dry here, that's as good as a bench!"

As the trees are dense here and we are not fans of bushwhacking (in case you haven't heard
), the cache is hid not much more than arms reach off of the trail, around one of the "big ones". The cache is the usual 500mL camo'd screw top container which I love to paint in my backyard.
Thanks to all who come out to my hides. I appreciate you.
