Cottonwood Island Park is 33 hectares of trails on the banks of the Nechako River that was named for the 300 year old Black Cottonwood trees that line the river. The trails are lined with 20 beautiful carvings that are carved into the thick bark of the cottonwoods by Artist Elmer Gunderson. There is a large gravel lot and picnic tables at the start of the trails.
Follow the trail to the riverside to find the Cottonwood Cache.
