Geocache Description:

**Update Nov. 7, 2008** The area was devasted last summer by the Lane 2 Fire. The cache is still accessible and the Algonquin Trail is open, but it'll be awhile before the beauty of this place returns. ***

Location is in the Ponderosa Pine region of the Bradshaw Mountain Range north of Phoenix. Most people will approach the area by exiting the I-17 freeway and following signs to Horsethief Basin/Crown King. Drive past historic Crown King, continue toward Horsethief Basin Recreation Area and park a short distance left of the road in the vicinity of N34 10.580 W112 19.735.
