Number 2 in a series of caches celebrating the classified climbs of the Tour de France's visit to Yorkshire, and the Tour de Yorkshire. All the caches are at the top of climbs either into or out of Wharfedale. They're ideal for visiting by bike but all can be accessed by motorised transport, just remember that by the nature of the location they are close to sometimes busy roads, so please take care when finding.
The Cote de Blubberhouses was the first climb of Stage 2 of the 2014 Tour de France bringing the race from Harrogate into Wharfedale before heading up innumerable other climbs through the Pennines before ending in Sheffield.
The race came up the main Harrogate - Skipton road. For a much nicer cycle the cache is hidden just off that road, on a back road joining the top of the climb which leads through to Thruscross reservoir.
