Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at a public boat launch on the St Mary’s River. Stealth required during busier times of the year. This particular area is called the ‘Rock cut’. It was created to allow efficient two way travel for the large freighters through the St Mary’s River. Freighters traveling downbound from the Soo Locks will use this man made channel on the west side of Neebish Island to travel the river. Upbound freighters will use the original waterway that branches around the other side of Neebish Island. I chose this location because I love watching the boats going up and down the river and this is one of several spots where you can get a fabulous view. Also nearby is the car ferry to Neebish Island. There is at this time one cache on the island.

This cache is at the posted coordinates, but in order for you to claim a find you must first have found 100 or more caches in Chippewa County, Michigan. This is a challenge cache where you must meet the requirements before claiming a find. I am fine with you signing the log and then posting the find after you have completed the challenge. Difficulty is based on finding the 100 caches. If you are not sure if you qualify for this challenge, run this checker.
