Geocache Description:

Lake Mendocino area .8 miles from parking area. Alt. 810'.
short hike on dirt road or beside lake.

Ammo box cammoed American flag on side. Geocaching sticker on other side.
Contents: Chuter hat, snapon keychain, 1/2 dollar in a money clip, no whimps sticker, rotorwing aircraft, parachuter, shining stars, camera to take finders pics(please leave in cache) log book, and the Flyin' travel bug.
Flyin' bugs goal is to see the world(or as many states as possible in a years time)he wants to be back in a airman and rabbit cache by Sept 8, 2003.

The area where the cache is stashed has some remains of an old winery from the 1940's. It has a nice view of the lake and a nice quiet place to spend a few hours wandering around. We are not quiet sure of the history of the old winery, but plan on doing some research to find out more about it and will post it if we do.

There is some poison oak in the area so BEWARE!!!!!
