This is a great place to take a walk in all seasons and I often do. You can see a variety of birds here in spring, summer and early fall. However other animals inhabit the island such as deer, muskrats, beavers, sometimes bears visit and even a cow moose and calf were spotted here in 2019. Great place to have a picnic too or go kayaking around the other side or paddle boarding. This area is one of the shorter walks but there are a few others with boardwalks and another longer trail across the bridge and right to the tip of the island.
