A nice walk along a concret path past a Cane Field on the way down to Blackfellow Creek.
Edmonton is located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south of the centre of Cairns,Blackfellow's Creek Provisional School opened in 1887, becoming Blackfellow's Creek State School in 1903. In 1910 it was renamed Hambledon State School. Edmonton was an independent township supporting a sugar mill which closed in 1991 and was demolished.
