Geocache Description:

The LFT GT stands for Lakefront Trail GeoTour. (Unofficial) It is one of many of a small section of the Lakefront Trail.

Enjoy!

The Chicago Lakefront Trail is an 18-mile trail on Chicago's lakefront. The trailing end of the southside at 71st, and 72nd. On the north-side, it ends on a roundabout near Hollywood Ave, or Ardmore Ave if you want to go even farther.

The LFT attracts 30K visitors daily according to the Active Transportation Alliance. (Probably in the summer) The LFT passes by/through 13 neighborhoods.

I noticed a sign for a telephone whilst driving down lakeshore drive, and I wondered where it was. Once I found the old pedestal (no telephone) , I decided that it would be a good spot for a geocache. I will start a payphone series hopefully soon, and this one will kick the series off.

In the place of the payphone, I put a magnetic key holder.

 Happy caching!
