Geocache Description:

Albert Lock is a lock on the Jamestown Canal which by-passes an unnavigable section of the River Shannon, between Drumsna and Jamestown, in Ireland. The canal and lock are located in County Roscommon.

The geocache is located off the wide path / roadway which travels parallel to the canal down to the lock.

Once you have located the geocache why not continue the walk to the end, to see the lock?  You will notice the name of the lock carved in the stone on the north side.

To help you find the geocache, solve the following puzzle;

(10 x 9) - 80 =          ,the number of 'Polish people' you must count to arrive at your destination!  Don't forget to include the ones in the car park!

There are a few items for swapping as well as a log book.

**Update August 2025** - after several 'Did not finds' we checked the cache, but it is still present and correct!!  The trees do affect the coordinate accuracy, but we had another go at it, and have got it accurate to within a couple of metres!  Use the clue above to help you locate the cache! Good luck!!
