The South Country History Series is a new series of geocaches being placed at locations of rural schools, churches, cemeteries, cenotaphs, and former townsites in south central Saskatchewan.
During WWII, RCAF Station Assiniboia became the home station of a flight training school and equipment maintenance station as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Program.
The aerodrome still operates as the Assiniboia Airport.
To get this cache, you do not need to go onto the airport itself.
