Geocache Description:

Earthquake Park is all about the 1964 Alaska Earthquake, but the 2018 Anchorage Earthquake deserves a little mention too -- thus a cache is squeezed into the park beside "the big one".   If you experienced the 2018 earthquake yourself, consider leaving a short memory of it with your log.

On November 30, 2018, at 8:29 a.m., a magnitude 7.1 earthquake hit with an epicenter about 10 miles north of Anchorage. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but many buildings and roads were damaged.  Many people will remember the more than 50 aftershocks of 4.0-6.0 magnitude that continued on for months afterward.

The cache is an easy micro just a few feet into the woods, but it does have some container mischief to make it more fun.  A couple from Pennsylvania made a video of caching several of the Earthquake Park caches (though not this one).
