La ricerca di questa cache ti permetterà di fare una passeggiata di 430m attraverso un boschetto per poi arrivare alla cima di una collinetta dalla quale potrai ammirare un bellissimo panorama sulla Riserva Naturale Statale Gola del Furlo che qui confina.

La Riserva Naturale Statale Gola del Furlo è un'area protetta istituita con decreto del Ministero dell'ambiente del 6 febbraio 2001.

Si estende per 3.907 ettari, ed è gestito dall'amministrazione provinciale. Il territorio comprende parte delle unioni montane dell' Alta valle del Metauro e del Catria e Nerone, oltre all'ex Comunità montana del Metauro, e i comuni di Acqualagna, Cagli, Fermignano, Fossombrone e Urbino.

Importante sito per numerose specie a rischio estinzione. La riserva naturale del Furlo è sede privilegiata per l'osservazione dell' Aquila Reale, che nidifica nella gola fin da tempi storici. La presenza di numerose specie di rapaci ha accreditato un importante valore naturalistico per il parco del Furlo. Tra i più noti ricordiamo: l' Aquila Reale, l' Albanella Minore, il Falco Pellegrino e il Lanario. Di elevata importanza anche il recente ritorno alla nidificazione del Gufo Reale, indice della qualità del territorio. Altre specie di uccelli sono invece: il Rondone Alpino, la Rondine Montana, il Passero Solitario e il Picchio Muraiolo. Tra i mammiferi vi sono il Lupo, il Daino, il Capriolo, il Cinghiale, l' Istrice e la Puzzola. Incerta la presenza del Gatto Selvatico. Vi sono poi anche dei rettili come il Cervone e la Vipera Comune.

Tra la flora emergono per interesse e rarità il Giacinto dal Pennacchio, il Lilioasfodelo Maggiore, l' Onosma e tanti altri. Nei versanti freddi sono presenti boschi mesofili, governati generalmente a ceduo, in cui vi è una ricca presenza di alberi e arbusti: Roverella, Cerro, Faggio, Orniello, Carpino Nero, Carpino Bianco, Acero, Sorbo, Biancospino, Ginepro, Fusaggine Montana, Rosa Canina e molte altre.

The Gola del Furlo State Natural Reserve is a protected area established by a decree of the Ministry of the Environment of 6 February 2001.

It covers 3,907 hectares and is managed by the provincial administration. The territory includes part of the mountain unions of the Alta Valle del Metauro and Catria and Nerone, as well as the former mountain community of Metauro, and the municipalities of Acqualagna, Cagli, Fermignano, Fossombrone and Urbino.

An important site for many endangered species. The Furlo nature reserve is a privileged location for observing the Golden Eagle, which has been nesting in the gorge since historical times. The presence of numerous species of birds of prey has credited an important naturalistic value for the Furlo park. Among the most famous we remember: the Golden Eagle, the Montagu's Harrier, the Peregrine Falcon and the Lanner Falcon. The recent return to the nesting of the Eagle Owl, index of the quality of the territory, is also of great importance. Other species of birds are the Alpine Swift, the Crag Martin, the Blue Rock Thrush and the Wallcreeper. Among the mammals, there are the Wolf, the Fallow Deer, the Roe Deer, the Wild Boar, the Crested Porcupine and the European Polecat. The presence of the European Wildcat is uncertain. Then there are also reptiles like the Four-lined Snake and the Vipera Aspis.

Among the flora, the Leopoldia Comosa, the St Bernard's lily, the Onosma and many others emerge from interest and rarity. In the cold slopes there are mesophilic woods, generally governed by a coppice, in which there is a rich presence of trees and shrubs: Downy Oak, Turkey Oak, Beech, Manna Ash, Common Hornbeam, European Hop-Hornbeam, Maple, Sorb Tree, Hawthorn, Juniper, Dog Rose and many others.
