Geocache Description:

This cache is located within the Pigeon Hill Preserve protected by the Downeast Coastal Conservancy land trust.   It is located on Petit Manan Point in the town of Steuben.  Begin your search at the Preserve trailhead parking area on Pigeon Hill Road.   Climb Pigeon Hill on your way to visit several glacial erratic boulders left in the middle of the forest by the retreating glacier approximately 10,000 years ago.  The Preserve trail system consists of three loops so there are several routes that can be taken to get to the cache.

The cache is a small clear plastic container.  It starts with 20 small photo cards of scenes taken within the Preserve.  Please carefully reseal the container after you write your log.

I think you will enjoy this area!  The vistas from the summit of Pigeon Hill can be fantastic and the trails pass through a beautiful forest with many interesting features.  It should take less than an hour to get to the cache.
