The Flintstones is an animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera. It was originally broadcast from September 30, 1960 until April 1, 1966 and was the first animated series to air during prime time. The series takes place in the Stone Age, in the town of Bedrock and follows the activities of the Flintstones and their next-door neighbors and best friends, the Rubbles. They live in a world where dinosaurs coexist with modernized cavepeople and enjoy primitive, yet humorous, versions of modern conveniences where baby mammoths served as vacuum cleaners and a bird’s beak would be used as a needle for a record player.
Pebbles is the Flintstones' daughter, who is born near the end of the third season. She is often referred to as "Little Pebbly-Poo" by her father.
Bamm-Bamm is the Rubbles' abnormally strong adopted son, whom they adopt during the fourth season. As a child, his favorite words to say were "Bamm-Bamm!" and they relate to how he would pound a club (or something else) to the ground repeatedly.
In the original six-season run of the show, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm remain babies, but they later grow to teenage years and adults in future spin-off series and movies.
