Geocache Description:

This is part of a series that will be placed along Pocklington Canal with the enthusiastic encouragement of the Canal and Rivers Trust and in particular Lizzie Dealey. The Canal And Rivers Trust has recently renovated the path and canal for the entire 4.4 miles from the head of the canal to Melbourne Arm and I plan to place caches all along this route. I'm going to try and have a mixture of sizes and difficulties and a few different types to keep things interesting.A simple multicache pointing out all the information boards near the Canal Head and leading on to Silburn Lock. The information should be simple to collect and the maths easy to calculate. The difficulty level is set to represent a busy muggle situation.

Pocklington Canal was a late addition to England's waterway network, and this rural canal was opened in 1818 but fell into decline after the railway arrived in 1847. It has now been partially restored and is one of the UK's best canals for wildlife and heritage. Enjoy your walk and let me know what animals and plants you spot.

This is a clip lock box containing: a genuine 1980's digital watch - may not work, but may just need batteries; a pack of modelling clay, a Paw Patrol Badge, and a special trackable commisioned by The Canal and River's Trust that wants to travel to other canals and rivers. There is also a pen and log book. Please replace as found.
