In order to find this cache, you must first complete the Adventure Lab named "A Tour of Historic Burton, Ohio in Geauga County". You will need a smart device with wifi and GPS capability to complete the Adventure Lab, which requires visiting five historic locations and entering a code word at each one to earn a find. Completing the Adventure Lab will add five lab cache finds to your total.
This Adventure Lab should take roughly an hour to complete, but it does not need to be completed in a single day. Once you have entered the correct code word for any location, you earn a find for that location, and you can continue to the other locations or save them for another day.
Download the Adventure Lab app to your smart device and look for the Tour of Historic Burton. You can also scan the QR code below to go directly to this Adventure Lab.
Please note that some of the sites in this Adventure Lab are cemeteries, so they must be visited during daylight hours only. There is also a stop in the Geauga County Fairgrounds. The grounds are generally open to the public during daylight hours, but they are not accessible without paying an entrance fee when the Great Geauga County Fair is in session. The fair takes place every year during Labor Day weekend, starting on the Thursday before Labor Day and running through Labor Day Monday. Please plan your visit around these times.
Once the Adventure Lab is completed, you will need to review the last journal entry to find the information you need to get the coordinates for this cache. Be sure to go back and step through each one, because the final journal entry gets bypassed when you initially complete the Adventure Lab.
