The Whangarei Council have done a wonderful job, creating marvellous walkway / cycleways around the city. Onerahi is now linked to the city by an offroad path that is regularly used by walkers, joggers, cyclists and even wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Half way along, the pathway passes Kissing Point Marina and the Whangarei Cruising Club. The boat sheds here have been substantially improved over the years and are now quite impressive. Some even seem to have accomodation levels upstairs.
Please watch out for the many muggles using this pathway, although there is a little cover right at GZ.
