Geocache Description:

This is a two-stage multi-cache that explores some of this area’s history. Dr Pepper is a true piece of Texas pride, invented in Waco in the late 1800s. It has also been part of Dallas for a long time. In 1945 the Dr Pepper Company purchased land on the corner of Mockingbird Lane and Greenville Road, and broke ground on a new headquarters facilities the following year. The new headquarters was four stories tall with approximately 276,000 square feet of floor space that included administrative offices and a bottling facility. The architecture included a curved wall of plate glass between spaced marble columns twenty-two feet high in the lobby, which housed four custom pieces painted by New York muralist, Arthur Crisp. Unfortunately, the building is no longer here, having been demolished in 1997 after the plant relocated to Plano. The property was sold to a developmental partnership, which built the shopping center and apartments. The original Dr Pepper time and temperature sign is now on the corner. Did you see it? The first stage is at the posted coordinates which is often a high muggle area. This stage is a hidden bison tube that holds the coordinates for the second stage. The Final Stage is also a hidden hanging container. BYOP. The easiest way to drive to the second stage may not be the most direct route. FTF gets a pathtag.
