El Río Mina Clavero es un río de cauce de agua del Valle de Traslasierra, el misma tiene su nacimiento a unos 1430 metros de altura desde la conformación de varios riachuelos y arroyos que provienen de la Pampa de Achala, y tiene un recorrido de unos 13 kilómetros. Sobre el Camino de las Altas Cumbres, se accede a un sendero que lleva a una espectacular caída de agua de 102 metros de altura, la espuma del agua golpeando contra las piedras; el sendero con barrancos, los cóndores planeando y una naturaleza activa hacen del Nacimiento del río Mina Clavero una parada obligatoria para viajantes y turistas que deseen conocer el origen de tantos balnearios bellos.
