This cache was placed because, well, there was one down Bald Mtn, but not one at the top. There is now. There is also a summit cache at the base of the tower, and 2 benchmarks! If you go up the tower you can see Mt Whitney, San Bernardino Mts, Owen's Peak, Summit Pass, just to name a few. You can park at the gate and either walk the road or take the trail, both lead to the top. We highly recommend bringing your lunch and having it at the picnik table at the top. Amazing views all around.
