Geocache Description:


 東本願寺(ひがしほんがんじ)は、京都府京都市下京区にある、浄土真宗大谷派の本山です。

この東本願寺の最大の見どころは、何といっても御影堂(ごえいどう)。

幅76m×奥行58m×高さ38mあり、世界最大の木造建築です。

京都駅から一番近い観光ポイントではないでしょうか。

 

そんな本願寺の門を正面から捉えるところにキャッシュがあります。

南側には京都駅や京都タワーもあり、どこを向いても写真スポットとなっています。

 

“Goeido” in  Higashi-Honganji is the largest wooden building in the world dedicated to the sect’s founder Shinran. 

Cache is hidden where the gate of Higashi Honganji is clearly visible.
