This series is meant to teach people about snakes in Iowa. There are 28 snakes in total and all unique. I placed 10 for my favorites snakes a few years ago and decided to add more. These new containers are unique and fun.
Snakes are a fascinating part of the Midwest's wildlife diversity. Watch them respectfully from a distance and you will learn to appreciate their adaptations and their roles in the natural world.
7 - 10 inches. Smooth Earth Snakes are tan or brown and generally don't have any markings, but may have a very faint stripe down the back. The belly is a plain white or yellow-colored.
