Muzeul Catedralei Mitropolitane din Timisoara

Patrimoniul de artă bisericească adăposteşte astăzi aproape 1.000 de piese printre care un însemnat număr de icoane pe lemn, pe sticlă şi pânză, obiecte de cult brodate, sculptate sau lucrate în metal şi un important fond de carte veche religioasă. Toate provin din biserici bănăţene şi datează din secolele XIV, XVI, XVII şi XIX. Documente de netăgăduită însemnătate istorică, ele exprimă nivelul cultural din Banat, evidenţiind în acelaşi timp sensibilitatea pentru frumos a credincioşilor.

Ca sa gasiti coordonatele finale ale acestui mystery cache, mai intai trebuie sa vizitati muzeul de sub Catedrala, apoi sa raspundeti la niste intrebari. Abia la sfarsit veti obtine locatia finala (10 minute de aici, aprox 700m, zona Iosefin).

Museum of the Orthodox Cathedral of Timisoara

Today, the church's art heritage houses nearly 1,000 pieces, including a significant number of icons on wood, glass and canvas, objects of worship embroidered or carved in metal and an important collection of old religious books. All come from Banat churches and date from the 14th, 16th, 17th and 19th centuries. Documents of undeniable historical significance, they express the cultural level of Banat, while highlighting the sensitivity to the beauty of the believers.
