Este lugar preserva diferentes especies autóctonas, como águilas, zorros, chinchilla, pumas, liebre, lobos, iguanas y comadrejas.Hay más de 3000 pájaros recuperados, zorros, hace 25 años, que están trabajando en la recuperación de especies, en los comienzos había una sola águila ahora hay más de 100, todas migratorias, estos animales son recuperados y liberados.En el lugar hay una guarda fauna llamada Isolina, una persona que es oriunda del lugar y trabaja ad honorem y recibe donaciones de los turistas, ella allí cuida y protege las diferentes especies.El atractivo principal es ver como un águila mora baja a 120 km/h a buscar alimento que es colocado sobre un cartel de madera por la guarda fauna y el turista puede sacar fotos y ver de cerca a este ave en movimiento.
Esta reserva es uno de los ingresos al Salto de Tabaquillo, cuenta con acceso al Arroyo El Molino.
