Tenth time is the charm?
My wife is a Fredericksburg native and we try to get to town a couple of time's a year to visit with her family, but we are always here for Thanksgiving. Since 2003, these visits have meant a week of sneaking off with her and Liam or just getting away by myself to cache in the area. Through geocaching I have discovered many great locations around town through the years and I feel that the local geocachers have really given me a great education on many of the hidden treasures Fredericksburg has to offer, from the parks to the trails to the awesome frozen custard. Although, we were lucky enough to meet some of you when we hosted GeoWoodstock VII a few year's ago, at the Geocaching Hampton Roads Mega and at this event over the last couple of years, we always look forward to meeting more folks from the Geocaching community. So, once again, Scoot, Liam and I decided to put this event together in hopes that we could spend some time with our friends in the local geocaching community, maybe meet some new folks and offer our thanks in person, plus it gives us another opportunity to show off our littlest cacher, if we can pry him away from his Mimi.
Whether you are a long time cacher or have just started, a local or passing through on your way to visit your family for the holidays, we ask that you please come on down and join us for a meet and greet in historic Fredericksburg, just minutes off I-95 for you travelers. The kind folks at the local mall on Route 3 have agreed to let us use their food court to get together and tell some stories about geocaching and get to know each other a little better. We will kick things off around 6:30 and be there till at least 7:00 or so.
We look forward to getting to know you better, if there are any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. We would ask that you please RSVP via a "will attend" to the cache page.
