WNY Geocaching International Film Festival

Saturday, November 9, 2019 - 6pm-8pm
C. Dee Wright Community Center - 11 Church Street, Akron, NY

What is GIFF Weekend?

GIFF Weekend is your chance to watch the entire reel of the finalist films from the 2019 Geocaching International Film Festival. During November 7-17 only, geocachers will host geocaching events at which these films will be shown publicly for the first time. So pop your popcorn, get out your coziest blankets, and get ready—it’s a global geocaching movie night!

About this event:

We would like to invite everyone out for a Geocaching movie night! The event will run from 6pm-8pm and will take place at a new location this year! The C. Dee Wright Center has graciously opened up their doors for our movie night fun. Hollywood came calling to Akron just a short while ago. So come on out and check out where the town was used as a movie set. We will play the movie up on the big screen and there will be plenty of room for people to sit. We will have some popcorn and water, but feel free to bring any movie treats you would like to enjoy the films. We also ask you all to please bring a snack to pass. There is plenty of street parking available around Russell Park. This is a family friendly event so be sure to bring the kids. It is also open to anyone who would like to come and learn about Geocaching. All are welcome. We will start the movie around 7pm and it will run about an hour long. As always, if you have any questions, shoot me a message. We hope to see you there!
