A nice easy hike through beautiful pine forests until the trail opens out to a great, peaceful picnic spot. In the fall, listen for the sound of elks bellowing and coyotes howling. If you're lucky, the mud hole has some water in it and you can spot animal tracks
Park in at the Zinker Canyon Trail Head and follow the old logging road to a large meadow. Watch out for the beautiful but prickly bull thistles and head for the rocks. Cache is near the white rocks of Zinker!
