SS21 Mayor Walt Bittner Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

gyoi: Too hard to maintain with the number of times being muggled. If I was a kid I'd be hanging out in this spot too I guess. It made it about a year. Maybe I'll come up with a new type for this park.

Geocache Description:

Originally Placed for the Event:  A Wild Geocaching Fall Adventure (GC89NC8)

Walt Bittner Park is a neighborhood park in Bloomington, Illinois that is named for the former mayor Walt Bittner. There is a total is a total of 11 acre park.  The undeveloped section of this park helps protect habitat for many Illinois prairie plants. The developed section has three half-basketball courts, a multipurpose field, and a playground.

Walt Bittner served on the Bloomington City Council for 44 years as the 40th mayor starting in 1969.  During his time as mayor he casted the tie-breaking vote to keep the zoo at Miller Park.  He was known to be a honest and had integrety.  He owned Bittner's Confectionary, was vice president of the National Bank of Bloomington, and later worked for the department of the secretary of state's office for which he commuted to dailing in Springfield.

This can be a high muggle area, but I think you'll have great cover.  Please place EXACTLY as found so hard to be spotted from the different angles of approach especially by little exploring muggles.
