This trail follows the path of the Tollcross burn from a point close to it's beginning near Bargreddie, all the way to the Clyde. Surprisingly, this burn is not culverted as often as other burns through Glasgow and can be seen above ground quite often, snaking it's way through the east end of Glasgow behind houses and through parks.
The first cache in the series is beside the beautiful but under-used Bargeddie Parish Church on Bartons Hill. If you arrive at this cache by car, take care where you park as this is a very narrow road and there can often be a lot of fly tipped rubbish.
As you are standing at the cache, look down into the field and you will see the overgrown burn between the field and the railway line. The burn doesn't appear to be much more than a trickle at this point but the weeds make it hard to see exactly.
