This cache is hidden near the entrance to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum. Among the ecosystems you’ll see in the Arboretum are forests, prairies, and wetlands. The Arboretum offers 1,200 acres of outdoor peace and calm as well as indoor exhibits at the Visitor Center open: Mon.–Fri. 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Sat.–Sun. 12:30–4 p.m. While the Arboretum is best enjoyed by foot, the gate connecting the east and west entrances is open for cars on Sundays, 12–5 p.m.
Enjoy year-round serenity on the 17 miles of trails and boardwalks that weave among the Arboretum’s restored prairies, savannas, woodlands, and wetlands.
