This trail follows the path of the Tollcross burn from a point close to it's beginning near Bargreddie, all the way to the Clyde. Surprisingly, this burn is not culverted as often as other burns through Glasgow and can be seen above ground quite often, snaking it's way through the east end of Glasgow behind houses and through parks.
The 2nd cache in the series takes you along the bed of the former Monklands canal and is located at the closest point I could get to the Tollcross Burn. The burn runs down towards the Motorway at this point then culverted underneath, coming out behind Easterhouse Train station (with it's own Geocache). The Monklands Canal was once the richest of canals when operating, transporting coal to the city and goods out to the whole world. It's now mostly culverted, running under the motorway all the way into the Forth and Clyde canal.
If you are following the trail from the 1st one, the posted trailhead will take you to the entrance to a path running along the Monklands Canal. The cache is located near a large concrete cap, covering the culverted Monklands Canal. Following the path will take you onto the unused Rogerfield Road or turn back towards the church.
