Scott's Lake is a lovely gem at the foot of Waterhouse Peak, actually on the Nevada side of the drainage (it drains to the West Fork of the Carson River). While it can be reached from Hwy 88 on the west side, the easiest hike is from the Big Meadow trailhead (approximately 4 miles one way).
This cache is placed at a spot where one can see the first glimpse of Scott's Lake through the trees. There is also a trail down to the lake from this spot. Enjoy!
