TUBE SideTracked - Kew Gardens
Welcome Aboard!
We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many motorways in Wales!). But what about public transport users? SideTracked caches are intended to provide quick cache-and-dashes at train stations. For more information about SideTracked Caches, visit the SideTracked website.
Mind The Gap!
The London Underground consists of 270 stations (as of 2019), all of which I'd love to aim and visit during my lifetime. The London Underground, despite not being a local, has always fascinated me since I was a kid. So I've made it my aim to try and host events as as many as logically possible. My first destination is Kew Gardens.
Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens serves the District Line. It first opened in 1869 and has since became a Grade II listed building. It’s footbridge is also a grade II listed structure. Kew Gardens also has the fact that it is the only London underground’s station with a pub officially attached to it. There is a door to the platform but it isn’t in use today. The station also has step free access and sits on Zones 3/4.
About The Venue
The venue is a pub called ‘The Tap on the Line’. The event starts at 12:00pm and finishes at 1:30pm. However, if you wish to stay longer, I am more than happy to do so.
