This cache has been placed for the YYCCAR19 event, held October 4-6, 2019. This cache was placed with the intention that it not be found prior to 11AM on October 5, 2019. Caches for the YYCCAR19 event are published early so the geocaching community can plan their search routes before the event starts.
I'm entering this cache in the "wandering" category, because I find this space in Calgary to be quite pretty. There are two stops on this multi that will take you through part of the beautiful glen of Glendale, with a view of the turtle shell. I can't find any history of the name of this hill, but I've always assumed it's just because of the shape! I learned to toboggan here growing up in the 80s, and I'm sure there was also a playground at this end of the glen.
