The cache is located in the Haynes Estate Conservation Area. Access to the cache is from either of two parking areas, E. Leona Dr. from the N. Shady Slope Rd., not Leona LN. The Rd. is a short drive in, up a slight hill and past some houses to the end where the trails start. or E. Greenleaf Dr. From the Little Spokane Dr. Rd. Turn on to N. Cincinnati St. at pine river park, left on Greenleaf to the end. Please don't try to come in from any where else, There is a gated housing community to the Southwest and to the east private land.
There is approximately 97 acres, plenty of trails and and many caches in this area. To get to the cache, stick to the trails, it is very nice walking until the last hill depending on which route you take, it can be a vey steep game trail or a fairly easy old rd. to hike to the top. Therefore the terrain dif. can be as easy as a 2 or as hard as a 3. Shouldn't have to do much bushwacking until the last little bit to the cache. If you hit the fenced area at the top, please don't cross over it, and there are less noticeable, easy walking trails leading toward the cache. Also, Don't try the short cut from the water tower, you will just end up in the housing. The cache is located far enough back from the housing to where you shouldn't be seen while logging it. Watch for other hikers though, it is a well used area.
This is a golf themed cache so I have put alot of items pertaining to golf in it, and other trinkets for the kids as well. So feel free to trade whatever, but if your a golf enthusiast bring something of that nature. I'd prefer not to end up with a cache full of used golf balls found in the woods however. There are many wildlife critters here and some great views. So have fun and happy caching!
