While heading to find a nearby new cache, I noticed a DOC track marker on the tree at the entrance to this place. Once we stopped, the topo map indicated there was an old stone hut nearby, so on the way home we stopped and checked it out.
Indeed, her lies the ruins of an old stone hut, in a great location, partially up against a bank, and near a stream. DOC ID tag 000956
A short walk off the road, and well worth a visit. Enjoy.
