Chittick's Comma Club Challenge!
Here is the first in a series of caches I plan to do that will help you catch the bug for challenge caches. Challenge caches are scattered throughout the geocaching world and put you up to a challenge that usually involves finding a certain number or set of caches. Challenge caches have a long history with geocaching and even for a while got banned because they were getting so outrageous that no one, not even the CO of the challenge, could finish them. They've come back, with a pretty stringent set of rules that includes requiring a challenge checker (which you'll find at the end of this description even though you can easily see if you qualify by looking at your total number of finds).
This particular cache is just the first in a series. In order to log a find on this cache you simply need to find 1,000 caches, thereby creating a comma in your total number of finds. All previous finds count, so if you already have 20,000 finds, swing on by for another one! More caches in this series are in the works, and include basic challenges you should be coming close to finishing or have already finished as you approach 1,000 finds.
Feel free to log a find as a note if you're not at 1,000 finds and change to a find or log a new find once you get to 1,000. Heck, I'm not even going to be that picky about deleting a log if you sign it at 999 finds and claim it as your 1,000th, but I ask that you not log a find if you are below 999, and stick to just logging a note. Be aware, the challenge checker does not include lab caches in it's tally. So if the checker says you're below 1,000 but your profile says your at or above 1,000, I will default to using your profile numbers and keep your log.
And a shout out to jofro62 and LindaWaWa for the FTF, especially to LindaWaWa for being the first to make it find 1,000!
