How does one celebrate the day between Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos (the Day of the Dead)? How does one go into the weekend in which we gain an extra hour of sleep due to the turning back of our clocks? With a Feed The Zombie Fiesta geocoin night event - a unique partnership with Snag The Tag which promotes trackables! This is just one of a limited number of these events taking place around the globe between October 31st and November 7th, 2019.
For those wishing to participate in any or all of the evening's activities, our schedule will be as follows:
- 6:30-7:45pm – eat and socialize

≈ The manager advises servers will likely not be serving outside on this evening, but he does not anticipate the diner being that busy around 7:00pm. For those who would like to eat outside, however, we are welcome to place "Take Out" orders. If we can provide him with the general size of our group far enough in advance, he is willing to accommodate us as best as possible, so RSVPs by Tuesday, October 29th are greatly appreciated!
- 7:45pm – rules & questions (east lawn)
- 8:00pm – hand out temp cache starting co-ordinates & the hunt begins!
- 9:30 pm – final raffle & prize give away
What is the Zombie Fiesta Game?
Zombie Fiesta is Snag The Tag's October 2019 game during Halloween week. The game begins October 24th with tags being published until Halloween, October 31st. The game in Oklahoma features 10 blue "Walt, the Zombie" brain pins which are hidden throughout the state and published during this time frame. Each brain pin (tag) attaches to a Zombie geocoin. Those who snag one of the 10 blue brain tags during the game week can redeem these for a free, blue Walt the Zombie geocoin at this evening's event. (You can sign up to receive notifications of when these tags publish at snagthetag.com and/or watch the "Zombie map" at https://fall19event.snagthetag.com/map.php). To ensure fairness, only 1 Finder tag/coin may be claimed by any single person, cache team, family, or household.
Didn't snag a blue brain tag for a Walt the Zombie geocoin during Fiesta Week? No problem!
We also have 5 unique, pale "Shuck, the Zombie" geocoins you can attempt to win at the event. How? Millicurie and the ol' Hobbit will have several temporary night (*gasp!*) caches set up for this evening's event in the surrounding area. Find the object at the end of each series of night tacks and take your picture with it. The first four geocachers/geocaching accounts to return with photographic proof of themselves with all objects win Shuck geocoins. (The same cacher(s) must be in all pictures-no splitting up family members, aka 'Divide, and Conquer'!) ***If you have never night-cached before, this is an excellent opportunity to learn how! DRESS WEATHER APPROPRIATE, and BRING A CAMPING/FOLDING CHAIR if desired, and a STRONG FLASHLIGHT OR HEADLAMP! (If you need a light, mention it in your log below, as we have many locals who would be happy to bring extra equipment to loan out for the evening, if needed).***
Not a night cacher? Stay in the area, and watch the fun! We'll have a raffle for the final Shuck geocoin, and other prizes, among all those who did not win one of the first four coins, near the end of the event.
***FINDERS: You are allowed to find 1 of each version of the zombie geocoins hidden throughout the Game Promo time period--so, you are allowed to find 1 Earl (global Feed The Zombie coin), 1 Walt (Zombie Fiesta Week coin), and 1 Shuck (Event Night Coin).
