2019 Last event of the year - Part III
WHAT: Attend your last event of 2019.
WHY: Food, Fun, Fellowship, Friends, fire pit, and a souvenir.
WHEN: Tuesday, December 31, 2019, between 4pm & 6pm.
WHERE: Mechanicsburg Parks & Recreation Picnic Pavilion. 1731 S York St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
WHO: Anyone that wants to celebrate the end of a year of Geocaching with an event. It’s outside, it’ll be cold and dark, but we’ve done this before... so let’s keep the momentum going.

So come on out and meet some local and not so local geocachers, tell us about your geocaching adventures in 2019. Vertumnis & MrsV are bringing a camp stove, and we will have hot apple cider, hot cocoa, hot coffee, and some snacks as well to enjoy and hopefully keep you warm. The fire ring that is available for our use, has been the center point for conversations and just watching the mesmerizing flames over the past 2 years, and I doubt that will change for this event . That means if you’d like to bring something to roast on an open fire (hot dogs, brats, marshmallows, etc) feel free to do so. Don’t forget your campfire forks. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed... just in case you were wondering. We have had many children attend with their parents and smiles always seem to be in abundance. As we can not predict the weather, should there be snow on the ground, come prepared just in case. I know there are some snow lovers out there somewhere...LOL. I’ll also have a few door prizes to give away. Happy New Year everyone...!
In addition, you will earn a new souvenir. Earn the “Goodbye 2019” souvenir by finding any geocache or attending an event on December 31, 2019. Yes, you can go find a Geocache instead of attending an event, but I think coming out to a New Years Eve Event would be more fun, and easier too. Of course if you’ve found all the geocaches near your home location, logging your will attend for this event is a no brainer. Soooo... log your “will attend”, update your calendar, and set an alert, and we’ll see you New Years Eve.
BTW... reviewers are invited too. Everyone should be having some fun on this holiday. We all appreciate what you do and always enjoy meeting up with the folks that make all this happen with order and fairness.
I’ll be bringing some TB’s along from Florida, and would be happy to take some of yours back south with me. Bring your TBs to trade, be discovered, or drop in the cache to be grabbed and moved on to a new location.
