Geocache Description:

On a recent caching excursion to Hobsonville Point we found this location of interest and were surprised that there was no geocache hidden here (unless a puzzle final is nearby then this cache will not get published).

History:

Limeburners Bay in Hobsonville played a significant role in West Auckland’s pottery and brickmaking industry in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was the location of three brickworks and potteries, the most extensive of which was R.O. Clark’s (1864-1931), the forerunner of Ceramco Ltd and the subject of this report: - R.O. CLARK’S POTTERY (1864-1931), LIMEBURNERS BAY, HOBSONVILLE: ARCHAEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION

You are looking for a pill bottle sized cache with appropriate camouflage for the location. There is only room for small swaps and trackables.

Take your time and explore the area whilst here. Happy caching smiley
