Cady Park was the site of the old city boat ramp and recently it has been closed as a new, better ramp has opened further up the river. One time when I was younger there was a guy backing his trailer into the river on this narrow and steep ramp. The current was so strong it swept the boat and trailer off the ramp and pulled the truck into the water. That old adage about "Good things come to those who bait. ~Author Unknown", may not have applied that day.
