A navigational mark for boats using the channel this one right on the point of stuart island. When i went here to leave a cache i actuallt did it without getting my shoes wet. That said i will admit its not often ive seen it that low on the run out tide 0.3m thats not to say it doent happen often. I myself wouldnt go at high tide without a geowater craft.
