At the southern end of Mount Carmel, between Zikhron Ya'akov and Binyamina, lies Ramat Hanadiv, a natural gem dedicated to the memory of Baron Edmond de Rothschild.
Ramat Hanadiv is a living memorial to Baron Edmond de Rothschild, operating for the benefit of current and future generations of the entire Israeli public. Ramat Hanadiv plays a leading role in the management of natural and cultural resources based on sustainable interactions between man, nature and the environment, and encourages understanding and appreciation of this ideal.
To fulfill this mission, we invest great effort in innovative management, scientific research, environmental education, and invite visitors to enjoy the Memorial Gardens, the Nature Park and the Visitors Pavilion.
Things to See
The Memorial Gardens beckon guests into a place of rare tranquility. You may stroll the pathways here among exquisitely landscaped gardens and breathe their fragrance throughout the year.
A gracious combination of European formality and Mediterranean-style vegetation, the Gardens reflect Baron de Rothschild's legacy of dignity and modesty. At the crypt of the Baron and his wife, visitors can pay their respects to the man known as the 'the Father of the Yishuv'.
The Nature Park offers visitors many pleasurable pursuits. Circular hiking trails of varying levels of difficulty are studded with observation points. Along the way visitors can view Mediterranean scenery and remnants of ancient human settlement, discover a spring hidden amidst the greenery, and examine the special acclimatization cage where birds of prey are prepared for release back into nature as part of Ramat Hanadiv's efforts to re-establish and preserve the fauna of the land of Israel.

Ramat Hanadiv is one of my favorite places in Israel. Following my relocation, I returned to the kibbutz, which is adjacent to the site. I decided to put caches in the points of interest that Ramat Hanadiv has, you should also experience this amazing place.
Ramat Hanadiv's natural area has many paths connecting to it, in all directions. Some are only for pedestrians and some also for cyclists. The vehicle has only one entrance from Highway 652 to the main parking lot near the Memorial Garden. From there you can also go to the natural garden area and caches.
The best way to get around Ramat Hanadiv is by bicycle. There are many bike trails in all parts of the natural part.
note Attributes: If the bicycle mark is available, you can reach the location of the cache when riding. If there is an X mark, it is not possible to get there by bicycle, but only by foot
From the trailhead, the trail marked in red heads directly south. It skirts a low thicket of mastic shrubs, spiny broom, and broad-leaved phillyrea trees, members of the olive family. Continuing along the heights of Ramat Hanadiv, the trail overlooks the sea to the west and the Samarian hills to the east, going first towards the prehistoric quarry and then crossing it (Station #1).
The cache location has an orange painted window that shows the location of EIN TIMSAH. One last remnant of the Kabara swamps that dried up in the 1930s. The path is marked in red and runs parallel to the cliff but not close so there is no danger. There is almost no shadow.
