An overlooked ruin
Right in the seafront of Ostia lies an almost destroyed ruin of a pillbox built during the second world war. This pillbox has been built in anticipation of the landing of the allied forces towards the end of the war. The allies as we know then landed in Anzio, not Ostia. A series of these had been built along the coast but only 2 of them remains. They are very particular as almost no one notices them despite being in clear view on a kind of busy road. If you can come here around the time the sun sets to go toward the sea and admire the view.
The cache is a simple 3D printed hexagonal box in black PLA, unscrew to open.
Una rovina che non si nota
Proprio sul lungomare di Ostia è locato un rudere semi distrutto di un bunker anti-bomba della seconda guerra mondiale. Il bunker è stato costruito in anticipo dello sbarco degi alleati verso la fine della guerra. Gli alleati come sappiamo, sono poi sono sbarcati ad Anzio, non Ostia. Una serie di questi bunker è stata costruita sulla costa ma solo 2 ad oggi rimangono. Sono molto particolari in quanto nessuno li nota nonostante siano su una strada abbastanza trafficata. Se potete venite qui quando sta per tramontare per poi andare verso il mare e godervi la vista.
La cache è una semplice scatola esagonale 3D printata in PLA nero, svitare per aprirla.
