This is a special place for the Johnson-Williams family. My stepmom, Karen J Williams – Johnson grew up on Stottlemeyer Rd and continued living here for the remainder of her life as my fathers wife. When they put in this substation, she thought it needed a bit of beauty. She contacted the county and the proper authorities to get permission to plan some trees. With permission, my dad took her to purchase some trees. They dug the holes and planted them knowing that there was not water to get them started. My stepmom, walked from the top of the hill down to the trees every day with two 5 gallon buckets of water. She gave each a drink of water till they were big enough to grow on their own. When we come home to visit, we drive past these trees and think of her. Please enjoy the trees as you look for the cache. There are a few things that will poke you and maybe grab you pant leg as you go in. The path has already been cut for you. This cache is maintained by my father for me. If there is something amiss with this cache, please let me know and I’ll ask him to check on it. Happy caching.
