This cache is placed at a lovely location on the East Kiewa Branch of the Kiewa River overlooking what is locally known as Mermaid Beach (a great swimming hole with a grass-covered bank). Up-river 200 metres is another fine swimming hole called the Rock Pool.
The cache can be accessed via the Survey Track which starts near the Golf Cub Clubhouse (a 2.2 km walk) or by driving to a parking area 300 metres from the cache. From the north side of the township take Damms Rd then Rock Pool Rd to the parking area.
